A restorative vacation trip to Thailand volunteering at a wildlife rescue center proved more serious as secrets behind the rehabilitated animals soon were discovered. The original intent of the trip was to work alongside elephants just to simply enjoy having close proximity to such beloved beasts. But it only took a day to realize the pain and suffering behind these gentle creatures at the hands of humans for animal tourism. In working with the animals and the local Thai staff so much information was learned that the weight, burden and responsibility of sharing the suffering of animals at the hands of animal tourism became our number #1 priority to communicate to a larger audience. This video is a realization of the experience, both beautiful and tragic.
